GREAT BRITAIN TAKING OVER AFRICA
As factories continue to expand quickly, countries like Great Britain and Europe are in a competition for the country with the most raw materials at their disposal. Africa is currently one of the top countries with a high amount of raw materials. Great Britain could have been civilized and came to an agreement with Africa, but instead they did things their own way, to their own benefit. Great Britain has always believed to be the best race and therefore felt like they had the right to arrive in Africa without notice and take all the supplies they needed for their factories.Great Britain did not want to fight with other countries for the supplies so they decided to colonize Africa. Great Britain is currently in the process of colonizing Africa.
Some other countries that wanted Africa were Spain, Europe, Germany, and Portugal. However, Great Britain beat them to it by doing things in a way that only benefited them. Great Britain colonized major parts of Africa and as a result their factories were benefiting. Africa is a country that possesses tremendous reserves of raw materials and they, together with its potential sources of power, give it excellent conditions for industrialization. The more Great Britain was being successful the more Africa suffered. African people are now being overworked and treated less than other races. Africans are also being enslaved in their own country. The oppressors used their power to manipulate their victims into doing as they pleased and benefiting themselves. Two major factors of this problem would be the belief Britons have and their thirst for raw materials in order to make more money to benefit themselves. The beliefs Britons had that led to this situation were social darwinism and nationalism. Social darwinism is the belief that one race is better because it has evolved better. Nationalism is the belief that one country is better than the rest and that a person takes pride in it. Britons had both of these beliefs high up in their mind that they pressed them down on Africans. Will Africans be able to survive through this experience, or will they fight back and try to get their freedom back ? Tune in next week for an update on the colonization of Africa.
